“We invited her to come because of her history leading students to exemplary performance,” HISD Deputy Superintendent Paula Rogers said. “And because of her passion for students…we are so honored that the commissioner would choose to come to Hallsville.”All of HISD faculty and staff as well as community and area dignitaries, leaders of business and universities, and others in the field of education are invited, Ms. Rogers added.
Ms. Rogers began trying to secure the commissioner’s visit in January. Ms. Neeley agreed to come to Hallsville after the district forwarded its plans for the next five years to have each school in the district reach exemplary status.
“We’re looking forward to an exemplary district in the next five years or sooner,” said HISD Public Information Director Carol Greer.
Okay, I know I’m bad but does this mean they just plan to cheat on the TAKS at the school or district level?
