Wow! HEB Excellence in Education Awards

Brian Warren is obviously one of the amazing people who help keep alive the faith and promise of public education.

MySA.com: KENS 5: Education:

Warren’s dedication to his students was phenomenal. Warren bought Hill Country property to use as a retreat for his students who participate in the Academic Decathlon. Some of the students from the high-poverty school have never been out of San Antonio.

Unfortunately, I’m willing to bet he isn’t paid nearly what he deserves. Others in San Antonio, such as some penny-pinching, anti-government columnists, believe that this what is to be expected of every teacher, and that they’re being overpaid in the process. How many summer interns has he taken on a retreat? Oh, but he’s not a public servant.
